When I was 23 I had over $20k of parking fines from trying to work in the city of Melbourne. Where a cop will do 180k's to chase you down and fine you for doing 20K's over the limit of 100 km/h.

No matter where a person lives in the US, failing to pay parking tickets can and will eventually lead to a suspended license from a state’s DMV, Department of Motor Vehicles. A driver's license will get suspended after 4 or more traffic violations in a one year period or 7 or more in a 24 month period. Driving on a suspended license can also result in arrest and a jail sentence.
