  • I don't know what a "waratah is either. I misspelled it though, and my spell check provided the correct spelling, so I know it is something lots of other people must know about. Here is an excerpt from a short internet search; "The waratah (Telopea) is an Australian-endemic genus of five species of large shrubs or small trees, native to the southeastern parts of Australia (New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania). The best-known species in this genus is Telopea speciosissima, which has bright red flowers" .....etc. 6/26/24

      In that context, I'd be confused too. Maybe there is some slang meaning to the word I didn't see online.
