    I don't equate the wearing of eyeglasses with intelligence. I equate the wearing of eyeglasses with being able to see properly.

    Perhaps some people who care to study more are more likely to wear glasses, especially for reading. Otherwise, poor eyesight is mainly hereditary.

    Not necessarily. Not everyone who wears glasses is a professor, librarian or a scientist. It's to do with how much brain power a person is using no matter what their eyesight is like.
