  • Nope,no reason what so ever!!
  • i can't imagine there ever being a good reason.
  • If death is the best of bad options, then yeah, I guess. But only if I were dying of some horrible, painful disease. Things can change in an instant, and I would feel like an ass if things could have gotten better and I couldn't wait.
  • There is a justification for everything in life. Just look at all the people who stuff their faces with tons of food every day while millions of others starve...People are that way. Absolutley, if the reason is good enough!
  • Good? Maybe. Good enough? No.
  • No - There is not
  • Some cancers and other neurological conditions will create the most intense pain anyone can imagine. It gets to the point where painkillers, no matter how strong they are, including morphine, will not stop the pain. I remember how bad it was during the first few minutes after recovering from surgery when I was given Demerol and it didn't work on me. I was in terrible pain. If I have to go thru that painful moment, forever and ever, with no hope of recovery, I will think that I will consider killing myself. That's my honest answer.

I'm sorry that you had to good through that. I hope you feel better. D:
  • No. According to the Bible it is the ultimate sin to kill one's self. Murder is a sin, and no sin can enter the kingdom of heaven...once you are dead there are no more chances for forgiveness. The Bible says once a tree falls, there is where it lyes...so you are sentencing yourself to everlasting damnation for hell! I would never take my own life. I've been down and out and felt like things were horrible, but death is the last thing I'd want! Death is not the end, it's the beginning of forever, either heaven or hell, why would you want to go from bad to forever hell???? That's not a way out, it's a way into torment!!! So NO... killing yourself is never a good answer! It's worse! Why would you kill yourself? Even if you have cancer there are pain meds that will make you feel NO pain! And...I can't see why anyone would want to just die! Do they not know that there is an afterlife???? And suicide is not going to get you into heaven?? It's going to get you into hell!!!! It's all in the Bible. Try reading it! You don't have to believe in the bible or God to make it true! God is still real and so is the Bible...believe or not...you'll still be judged!
  • The only acceptable reason for me would be if I had incurable cancer or some other disease that isn't curable. My family suffered greatly watching my mother waste away with incurable cancer.
    • CelesteLeeFKAC*
I'm so sorry,Ed. Much love to you.
  • I have to say the "incurable disease" angle is good, also I would think if you were just REALLY old, that you may not want to be a burden or your quality of life changes, when my grandma got to the point she couldnt walk and was wearing a diaper, she was BEGGING us to kill her.. also I think people who commit heinous crimes like all these school shootings I think their best option is suicide..
  • Personally..no, I don't think there would ever be a good reason. My life was given to me to live, no matter what. But then again..I smoke, so I guess I just blew that answer all to hell and back, didn't I?
    • CelesteLeeFKAC*
I quit smoking a few months to a year ago and I still feel sick from it. I heard it gets better in time, but still waiting! Lol.
  • I have a better question : do you think the bible should tell you what to do?
  • hmmm depends on the mood im in at the moment. if you were to ask my depressed self this, it would say "of course there is a good reason. why wouldn't you". if you were to ask my healed self this it would look at you with raised eyebrows and say "how ridiculous to think there could be"
  • There is never a good reason to kill yourself, ever.
  • if you know that you have been given a death sentence by doctors and you have gotten a number of doctors opinions and they all say the same ...then yes ...I know I would end it before I became a vegetable
  • No killing yourself is like committing a murder. Only GOD has the right to take your life away. Besides nothing is impossible if you have a problem I'm sure there should be a solution to solve it. Whoever said life is easy if killing yourself is a solution then all humans would be committing suicide. Take life/problems as a challenge and not as a problem and you'll see the difference.
  • I have mixed feelings on this, I know physical pain can get bad but miracles have happened. But....... I haven't ever suffered it so I can't say for sure in this case. I have suffered pain from life and that is not a reason for suicide!
  • no... absolutely not... i am going through very very very hard times in my life right now but God will never give us more than we can handle, no matter what u think there are people that love u and it would be so selfish, i come from a family that has had people take their own lives and it is a very sad thing....
  • There are plenty of "good" excuses. I think suicide is wrong. Euthanasia, however, is a right that most places have made illegal. I think this is a vital need for people.
  • There is no good reason to kill yourself because there is no problem that anyone can't handle.
  • i don't know, but i also don.t know why i should live
    • CelesteLeeFKAC*
My heart goes out to you. Keep live alive. :)
  • Things are seldom black and white I think there are a lot of reasons we may want to but life is divinely appointed and should only be taken by God at His appointed time.
  • 6-16-2017 My bible says death is an enemy. Suicide is almost always associated with a deficiency of B vitamins. The first line of defense against depression and anxiety is B vitamins. Get nutritional yeast powder and/or B-100 pills. Vitamin B2 is a water soluble dye that turns urine bright yellow. When the color fades, it's time for another dose. Read some books about nutrition so you know how to eat right.

      Brilliant! :)
  • The Bible describes God as the “giver of life” (Psa 36:9, Acts 17:28). It is a precious gift that he expects us to take care of and appreciate (De 22:8) Life is not ours to take (Exo 20:13).
  • I believe that it is up to yourself, but the law doesn't. I am not suicidal, and I think that it is sad to die in any kind of way,but inevitable.
  • Voluntary euthanasia yes. I am not the one to judge anyone on their reason and inclination to decide their time of death.
  • Mostly, Absence of true will!
  • No reason at all can be found unless you walked in the shoes of others every day. Or been friends with those who suffered mentally or psychically every waking hour. It takes more strength to end your misery than it does to live only to please others. If people cared as much as they mouthed off after the fact, maybe some would still be here.words and pity mean nothing without action.
  • No good reason to die at all in opinion,so no.

I answered this question twice with two separate answers and just realized. Weird!
